Hennie Meyer's first color memory is of used tin boxes of watercolor paints. The ceramic grid with gold reflects this memory.
The ceramic grids are a development from the large scale installations done for Qunci Villas on Lombok, Indonesia. Hand rolled cylinders are cut into smaller components and then pinched together to form the square grids. They are architectural constructions that reflect Hennie's fascination with multiples.
