Bozo Puppet Boat, Niger River, Mali (Large)
The Bozo people hail from the Niger River area in Mali and are considered "masters of the river." The Bozo have recounted their history through traditional puppets that instructs as well as interests the viewer. This colorful river crossing artwork is exceptional in size and hard to come by. The arms and legs of each of the marionettes move as do the oars. The people are dressed in colorful, traditional clothing and can be moved in and out of their boat.
